As a precaution to the potential COVID-19 Coronavirus spread, Hays Catholic Schools, Thomas More Prep-Marian and Holy Family Elementary will be closed March 16 - 20.
At this time classes are set to resume March 30 at the conclusion of the previously scheduled spring break.
This decision is made in communication with the Kansas Department of Education and in cooperation with USD 489 in an effort to slow the potential spread and offset burden to those in the healthcare field.
As this fluid situation evolves further details will be communicated to those affected. Updated cancellations and delays can be found via TMP-M and HFE social media platforms as well as tmp-m.org and hfehays.org
The announcement came after the Kansas State Department of Education made the recommendation to cancel classes.
Due to concerns with the possible risk associated with COVID-19, Hays Public Schools has been recommended by the Kansas State Department of Education to cancel school and all school activities the week of March 16-20.
We will also be off the following week for our scheduled Spring Break.
