City of Hays
The Hays Area Planning Commission will meet Monday to review the proposed D & J Land Development TIF (tax increment financing) district at Exit 157 of Interstate 70.
The commission will determine whether the travel plaza project is consistent with the intent of the Hays Comprehensive Plan.
D & J Development has submitted an application to the city of Hays for economic incentives related to the development of the property recently platted Hess First Addition. The TIF would be on a pay-as-you-go basis for 20 years.
The property has been annexed into the city, rezoned for commercial use and platted.

The Planning Commission will also hear an update of the 2020 street maintenance projects recently awarded by the city.
The meeting begins at 6:30 p.m. in Hays City Hall, 1507 Main.
