Vivian Kaye Ribbing Cronin, age 72, peacefully passed in Lakin, Kansas, March 30, 2023, surrounded by loved ones after her battle with cancer to be with the Lord Jesus of her life. She was born, January 17, 1951, at Dumas, Texas, the daughter of Eugene & Geraldine Oxford Ribbing.

Kaye was a homemaker, mother, grandmother, and friend to many. She spent a good share of her life in Garden City and Pierceville, Kansas, and lived in Questa, New Mexico for 10 years. While working at the college in Garden City, she earned her Associates degree. She was a member of the Cornerstone Church in Garden City, Kansas and volunteered for missions.

She married Marvin D. Cronin on July 18, 1970, and divorced; he is deceased. She married Brad J. Allen on June 23, 2005, they divorced; he survives.

Survivors include her sons, Matthew Dale Cronin & Margie Jackson of Liberal, Kansas, Mark Duane & Nikki Cronin of Lovington, New Mexico, granddaughters Shaylee Wherley of Lovington, New Mexico, Amber Wallis of Rockport, Texas, Laney Wallis of Rockport, Texas, her brother and sisters - Ellen & Ellis Hahn of Lakin, Kansas, Darrel Ribbing of Ashland, Kansas, Pat & Billie Swilley of Scott City, Kansas, Sister-in-law Marlene Ribbing of Leoti, Kansas, her friend & companion - Fred Hendrickson of Syracuse, Kansas and many nieces and nephews.

She is preceded in death by her granddaughter, Kayelee Nicole Cronin, not in this world long but so loved; her parents, Eugene & Geraldine Ribbing; brothers Larry Ribbing and C. Dean Ribbing.

Graveside service will be held on Saturday, April 8, 2023, at 1:00 p.m. at the Scott County Cemetery in Scott City, Kansas with pastor Raul Silva presiding.
