Offensive linemen don't normally get much attention.  Tuesday morning the light shined on one of Hays High's as Luke Fletcher signed a National Letter of Intent to play football at Butler County Community College.

Fletcher was a two year starter at Hays High and two-time second team Western Athletic Conference selection.  He earned the honor as a left tackle his junior season and left guard his senior year.  The 6'4" 245 pound senior is projected to play more at the tight end spot in college.

Fletcher was part of an offensive line that paved the way for over 6000 yards of offense the last two seasons.  Hays High also advanced past week nine of the season for one of the few times in program history with a victory on the road over Goddard-Eisenhower.  The game remains one of the Fletcher's favorite memories.

Coach Tony Crough credits Luke Fletcher for helping set the foundation for the future of the Hays High program and helping change the culture.
