Raymond Lynn (Ray) Tubach

Raymond Lynn (Ray) Tubach, 69, passed away on February 25, 2020, at his home in Larned, Kansas. He was born January 25, 1951, in Glasco, Kansas, the son of August and Nellie (Rogers) Tubach.

Ray graduated from Glasco Rural High School in 1970 and later from Wichita State University with a degree in Administrative Justice. He served in the U.S. Army, where he achieved a rank of SP5, and he was a Vietnam veteran. Ray spent most of his professional life as a mental health developmental disabilities technician at Larned State Hospital and retired from there in September 2011.

Ray enjoyed visiting family and returning to Glasco for high school reunions; this year would have been his 50th reunion. He had a strong interest in current events and spent considerable time in the library reading news. He delighted in discussions about politics and other topics.

He was preceded in death by his parents and four siblings: his brothers, Lemoine (Lee)and Clyde Tubach, and his sisters, Elaine Dunlap and Cora O’Rourke. He is survived by his sister, Freda Saiger of Topeka, Kansas; brother-in-law, Joe O’Rourke of Iola, Kansas; sister-in-law, Mary Jo Tubach of Emporia, Kansas; and nephews and nieces.

Ray was cremated and will be interred in the Glasco Cemetery. A private family memorial service is being planned for a later date.
