Andover Central used a pair of big first half runs to jump out to a double digit lead by halftime and a 67-38 final score over Hays High Wednesday night. The teams swapped scores early with Hays leading 6-5 and 8-7. The Jaguars grabbed the lead for good with a 14-1 run to lead 21-9.
The Indians used the end of the first quarter and beginning of the second quarter to go on a 10-3 run and close the gap down to five at 24-19. The second big run for Central came over the next six minutes at 14-2 and a 38-21 halftime lead.
Highlights
The Indians trailed the entire second half but was within thirteen with two minutes remaining in the third quarter. Hays possessed the ball down 46-33 but turned it over their next four possession. The Jaguars outscored Hays 21-5 over the final ten minutes of the game.

Tasiah Nunnery scored 13 for her tenth double figure game of the year and twentieth of her career. Nunnery played in 84 varsity games for the Indians making 45 starts.
Isabel Robben played in her 72nd game and made her 34th start. She took a 49 charges in her career and set the state single season record of 26 her sophomore season.
Sophomore Brittany Harshaw scored 27 for Andover Central and junior Bailey Wilborn added 15. They each scored ten in the first quarter.
Hays finishes the season at 6-15. Andover Central has won 19 in a row and is 20-1 on the year. They will play the winner of Goddard and Emporia on Saturday.
