Hays High's Brock Lummus signs with Butler

Hays High senior Brock Lummus inked his Letter of Intent to play baseball on Wednesday morning.  The starting catcher signed with Butler County Community College to continue his career.  Lummus mentioned that he may not only see time at catcher but possibly at a corner infield or corner outfield spot.

Lummus started and caught all twenty-two games of his junior campaign.  He hit .333 with eleven extra base hits which included six doubles, two triples and three home runs.  Lummus drove in twenty-five runs and scored then.  

Brock Lummus

The 2019 Western Plains Diamond Classic MVP had six multi-hit games last season and during a five game hitting streak batted .538 with four extra base hits.

Coach Dusty Dreher

Lummus is a three sport athlete at Hays High School.  During his senior year he started on the offensive line during the football season and has appeared in 15 games in basketball.
