Phillipsburg resident John A. Beim passed away Tuesday, March 3, 2020 at the Phillips County Hospital, Phillipsburg, at the age of 88.
He was born October 22, 1931 in Phillips County, KS the son of Joseph John and Addie Florence (Anderson) Beim.
John was united in marriage to Shirley Klotz on July 22, 1956 in Phillipsburg. She preceded him in death in 2012. He was also preceded in death by a sister, Geneva Burton.
Survivors include his daughter, Paula Lyon of Phillipsburg; 3 sons, Timothy of Phillipsburg, Michael of Keokuk, IA and Perry of Wichita, KS; 8 grandchildren; and 11 great grandchildren.
Funeral services will be 10:30 a.m. Friday, March 6, 2020 at the Emmanuel Evangelical Lutheran Church, Stuttgart, with Pastor Lee Bennight officiating. Burial will follow in the First Lutheran Cemetery, Phillips County, KS.
Mr. Beim will lie in state from noon until 9 p.m. Wednesday and 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. Thursday at the Olliff-Boeve Memorial Chapel, 1115 2nd Street, Phillipsburg, KS 67661.
Memorial contributions may be made in lieu of flowers to the Emmanuel Evangelical Lutheran Church.
