Ronald 'Ron' L. Maneth

Ronald “Ron” L. Maneth, 76, passed away March 1, 2020, at his home in Great Bend. He was born on February 12, 1944, at Great Bend, to William L. & Mary (Mauler) Maneth. He married Janet Petz on May 15, 1965, at Great Bend. She survives.

A Great Bend resident for the last 5 years, Ron was the Retail Manager for Dillons. He was a member of Prince of Peace Parish at St. Rose. He enjoyed gardening, fishing and the Kansas City Chiefs and Royals. Ron especially enjoyed spending time with his family and his dog Rusty.

Survivors include, his wife Janet Maneth of the home; his loving dog friend, Rusty; a son, Doug Maneth and companion Naomi Cordova of Great Bend; two daughters, Melinda Ackerman and husband Paul of Amarillo, Tex., and Tracey Martz and husband Roy of Bridgeport, Tex.; a brother, Larry Maneth and wife Karel of Salina; a brother-in-law, Mike Petz and wife Donna of Great Bend; a sister-in-law, Kay Maneth of Great Bend; five grandchildren, Jessica Maneth, Hailee Herrera, Steven Maneth, Joshua Martz, and Mason Ackerman; two great grandchildren, Samuel Herrera, and Phoenix Herrera; and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; and three brothers, Paul Maneth, Bill Maneth, and Donald Maneth.

Friends may sign the register book from 8:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m., Wednesday, March 4th and Thursday, March 5, 2020, at Bryant Funeral Home, and a Vigil Service will be held at 7:00 p.m., Thursday, March 5, 2020. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30 a.m., Friday, March 6, 2020, at St. Rose of Lima Catholic Church in Great Bend, with Father Don Bedore presiding. Memorials have been suggested to the Golden Belt Humane Society or Golden Belt Home Health & Hospice, in care of Bryant Funeral Home.
