FHSU men's track and field finishes eighth at MIAA Championships

PITTSBURG, Kan. - The Fort Hays State men's track and field team added two more provisional performances on Championship Sunday at the MIAA Championships, propelling the Tigers to an eighth-place finish in the team standings.

Ryan Stanley once again soared over the provisional mark in the pole vault, placing sixth after clearing the 16-3.5 bar. Malcom Gardner picked up the second provisional performance for the Tigers on Sunday, finishing fifth in the 200m dash with a time of 21.52.

Ethan Lang nearly broke the program record in the 600y run, finishing one one-hundredth shy of the three-year-old record. Lang placed third with a time of 1:11.58.

Aaron Mangan turned in a fourth-place finish in the 800m run, coming in fourth after posting a time of 1:54.6.
