Leon John Pfaff

Leon John Pfaff passed away just shy of his 80th birthday on February 26, 2020 at his home in Brownell, Kansas. He was born on March 1, 1940 in McCracken, Kansas the son of John and Silvina (Hammerschmidt) Pfaff.

Leon was a farmer stockman. He married Pat Miller on Tuesday, May 21, 1963, in LaCrosse, Kansas. She survives.

Other survivors include: two sons, Jim (Glennis) Pfaff of Grinnell, Duane Pfaff of Ellinwood; three daughters, Connie (Phil) Eickhoff of St. George, Joni (Mike) Mask of Ransom, Tami (Daniel) Branham of Albert; two brothers, Roy (Kay) Pfaff of McCracken, Bennie (Cindy) Boley of Lindsay, TX; four sisters, Betty Miller of Ellinwood, Eileen (Larry) Backstrom of Great Bend, Laura (Duane) Morgan of Wakeeney, Becky (Doran) Kinyon of Holcomb; two grandsons, Keith (Taryn) Pfaff of Hutchinson, Jonathan Mask of Ransom; and one great-grandson, Stetson Pfaff of Hutchinson. He was preceded in death by his parents, three brothers, Walter, Ralph, Glenn, and four sisters, Lucille, Hazel, Mary, and Nancy.

Funeral service will be on Saturday, February 29, 2020, 11:00 A.M., at Fitzgerald Funeral Home, Ness City. Burial in the Vansburgh Cemetery, Brownell. Friends may call at Fitzgerald Funeral Home, Ness City, Kansas, 9:00 A.M. - 8:00 P.M. Friday, February 28, 2020 with the family present from 6:00 - 8:00 P.M.

Memorial contributions may be given to the Ronald McDonald House of Rochester, Minnesota or Brownell Fire Department.
