Todd Eugene Bellinger

Todd Eugene Bellinger, 63, of Atwood, passed away Friday morning, February 21, 2020.

He was born March 20, 1956 in Washington, KS to Charles J. and Ida May (Landis) Bellinger. Growing up Todd and his sister, Charla, had a paper route in Syracuse, KS. Then in high school he worked at Roy’s Jack and Jill Grocery, Millsap’s Grocery and dog kennel, Charlie Caron’s Dairy Delight in Syracuse, KS. After that, he worked a variety of jobs. He farmed and worked cattle for Wendell, Warren and Buster Zenger of Haddam, KS and Chuck Hardenburger, also of Haddam. He was a welder for Landoll’s Manufacturing in Marysville, KS and worked for the Washington County Road and Bridge Building department in Washington, KS where he also made and cooked pizza for a convenience store. Todd worked in Dalhart Texas for a while on a farm, feedlot and at grain hauling company, where he learned to drive semi-truck. He worked at a cannery in Denver, CO and at Shallow Water refinery, in Shallow Water, KS. Todd also drove a van for Mahaska Dog Kennel in Mahaska, KS, delivering puppies to pet stores in Florida and New York. He did over the road truck driving for Triple D Trucking, of Atwood and Sudbury Transportation, of Wichita, KS. Todd was just starting a part time small engine repair service out of his home in Atwood. Todd enjoyed the outdoors. He loved to fish, hunt, trap, snow ski and cook.

He married Sue (Tompkins) Bellinger. She preceded Todd in death.

He was also preceded in death by his parents; nephews, Matthew G. Doty, Marcus F. Singer and David N. Doty; niece Jordyn N. Doty and nephew-in-law Mark F. Singer.

Todd is survived by a sister Charla M. Dawson , of Atwood, KS; a brother Bruce W. Bellinger, of Hays, KS and many more nieces, nephews and friends.

Cremation was chosen. A memorial service will be held at 10:30 a.m. Thursday, February 27, 2020 at Baalmann Mortuary, Atwood, KS. Inurnment will be at Haddam City Cemetery, Haddam, KS at a later date.
