Nearly two inches of snow fell in Hays Tuesday.
The 1.8 inches of white stuff yielded 0.06 of moisture, according to the K-State Agricultural Research Center south of town.
Moisture total so far for the year is 1.48, considerably higher than the average 0.74 by the end of February.
The high temperature on Feb. 25 was 32 degrees in Hays with the overnight low dropping to 16 degrees.
The weather forecast calls for a warming trend at the end of the week.
