Hays High qualifies two for 5A state wrestling

VALLEY CENTER, Kan. - Hays High qualified two wrestlers for 5A State Tournament February 28th and 29th at Hartman Arena in Park City.

Senior Davontai Robinson has qualified at 182 after a fifth-place finish. He's joined by sophomore Gavin Nutting who finished fourth at 220.

182 - Davontai Robinson (24-10) - 5th place

Area wrestlers qualify for 3-2-1A State Tournament

Several area wrestlers have qualified for the 3-2-1A State Tournament at Gross Coliseum.

Ellis has qualified two. Jarrett Mader at 113 and Konnor Pfeifer at 160.

Plainville got four in. Logan Normandin at 113, Ben Hansen at 160, Kyle Werner at 170 and Jordan Finnesy at 182.

Trego's Dillon Dunn is in at 220, Dunn is 41-1 on the season. He's joined by teammate Parker Opat at heavyweight.
