Kenneth Gene Wolf, age 81, of Ellis, Kansas passed away Friday, February 21, 2020 at Hays Med. He was born November 29, 1938 in Ellis, Kansas to William and Catherine (Sauer) Wolf. He graduated from Ellis High School in 1956. On February 8, 1964 he married Kathleen (Windholz) at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Ellis.
Kenny worked in the furniture business for most of his working career. He owned Wolf Furniture Galleries in Hays. He was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church and He was a US Army Veteran serving in Korea. He enjoyed hunting and fishing but especially his family and grandchildren and the times they spent together. Kenny also enjoyed playing blackjack and was anxiously awaiting the arrival of his great granddaughter.
He is survived by his wife, Kathy of Ellis; a son, Preston Wolf and wife Julianne of Hays; a daughter, Sue Ann Tebo and husband Brad of Ellis; two brothers, Steve Wolf of Great Bend, KS and Dennis Wolf of Salina, KS; three grandchildren, Paris Wolf, Skyler Tebo and Tori Tebo; a great grandson, Ryker Tebo as well as his companion, Reno.
He was preceded in death by his parents; five brothers, Clark, Bill, Lawrence, Jack and Jim and one sister, Margaret Moore.
Funeral services will be 11:00 AM Wednesday, February 26, 2020 at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Ellis. Burial with military honors courtesy of the Hays VFW Honor Guard will be 2:00 PM Wednesday at the Kansas Veterans' Cemetery in WaKeeney.
Visitation will be Tuesday 6 PM - 8 PM with a combined parish vigil and rosary service at 7 PM all at St. Mary's Church. Wednesday visitation will be 10:30 until service time also at the church.
Memorial contributions are suggested to St. Mary’s catholic Church.
