HAYS – The TMP girls and boys basketball teams earned a doubleheader sweep of the Stockton Tigers on senior night Friday at Al Billinger Field House in Hays.
Girls: TMP 64, Stockton 45
The TMP Lady Monarchs jumped out to an early 11-3 lead and
led wire-to-wire on their way to a 64-45 win Friday.

Kyleigh Allen scored a pair of three-point plays in the first quarter as TMP races out to an 11-8 lead at the end of the first quarter.
The Monarchs build a 12-point second quarter lead at 23-11on an Allen three that capped off a 12-3 run. TMP finished the quarter on a 12-0 run and led 35-14.
TMP led by as much as 25 points on several occasions in the third quarter, led 50-30 through three quarters and went on to the 64-54 win.
Game highlights
Allen led TMP with 13 points for TMP. Emilee Lane added 11 points. Jaci VonLintel also finished with a career-high 11 points for the Monarchs.
Stockton’s Chloe Plummer finished with 14 points.
TMP improves to 7-12 with the win.
Boys: TMP 74, Stockton 51
The TMP boys scored the first seven point of the game on a
Ryan Stoecklein three pointer and back-to-back Carson Jacobs field goals. The
second a one-handed fast break jam.
TMP led by as many as nine at 11-2 in the first quarter but Stockton closed the gap to 11-8 after one quarter.
Stockton tied the game sat 15 in the second quarter but TMP answered with a 9-2 run capped by a Lucas Lang three pointer to put TMP up 24-17. Every time that TMP tried to pull away from Stockton in the second quarter the Tigers clawed back into the game. Late in the first half they got back within three at 28-25 but Lang knocked in his second three of the quarter to put TMP up 31-25 at the break.
In the third quarter TMP was able to stretch the lead to double-figures four times down the stretch, twice on Lang three pointers and the final time Brady Kreutzer hit a half-court shot at the buzzer putting TMP up 54-39.
TMP opened the fourth quarter on a 14-5 run and led 68-44. TMP went on to the 74-51 win.

Carson Jacobs tied a career-high with a game-high 20 points for TMP. Lucas Lang chipped in a career-high 16 points and Mason Robbins added 12.
Stockton’s Ethan Means led all scorers with 27 points.
TMP improved to 14-4 and 7-1 in the MCL with the win.
