RUSSELL — St. John Lutheran Church invites the public to attend the Ash Wednesday Soup Supper on Wednesday, Feb. 26 in the Parish Hall at St. John, 425 N. Main, Russell. The event is hosted by the St. John Lutheran Senior High and 2x5s Youth Groups. Carryout starts at 4:30 p.m. or dine in from 5:30 to 6:45 p.m.
A choice of soup (chicken noodle soup with or without butterballs, chili or baked potato soup, relishes, crackers, dessert and drink will be served for a free-will offering.
Soup will be available for carry out in pints ($5) and quarts ($10) The St. John Lutheran Senior High Youth Group is currently fundraising in hopes of attending the 2021 ELCA Youth Gathering in Detroit, Mich. The 2x5s Youth Group has volunteered to pitch in and lend a hand with this project.
