Bentley A. Pywell

Bentley Albert Pywell, age 56 of Damar, passed away on Sunday, February 9, 2020. He was born in Great Bend, Kansas on May 22, 1963 to George and Carolin (Mongeau) Pywell. Bentley was a lifetime resident of Rooks County, growing up in Plainville and graduating from Plainville High School with the Class of 1981. After high school he attended Fort Hays State University and went on to graduate from NWKS Area Vocational Technical School out of Goodland for telecommunications. Bentley moved to Wichita where he attended Wichita Tech and completed studies in autobody and detailing.

After returning back home, Bentley worked under the instruction of his uncle Sam at Service Rite; he later started his own body shop, Pywell Body Shop. He moved into trucking and started K Bar S Trucking. Bentley later worked in the oil field as a Pulling Unit Operator, where he mentored many and made numerous lifelong friends. Bentley enjoyed racing 3- and 4-wheelers, motorcycles, and sport mods. He loved to participate in mud runs and spend time riding 4-wheelers with his daughters.

Bentley is survived by his parents, George and Carolin Pywell of Zurich; significant other, Melissa White of the home; daughters, Kylee Shae Pywell of Plainville, Shelbe (Tanner) Darnell of Plainville, and Cassidy Pywell of Palco; sister, Stacey (Chris) Bobek of Denver, CO; grandchild, Theodore Darnell; and niece and nephew, Simone and Dalton Bobek.

Bentley is preceded in death by an infant son, Ethan Trey Pywell.

A funeral service will be held on Thursday, February 13, 2020 at 10:30 AM at the First Christian Church in Plainville with burial to follow at the Pleasant View Cemetery in Palco. Visitation will be held on Wednesday, February 12, 2020 at the funeral home in Plainville from 2:00 PM until 8:00 PM.
