The Hays Area Childrens Center, 94 Lewis Drive, will be closed Thursday and Friday due to illness.
Kate Schippers, child care coordinator, said over 40 percent of students and staff are out because of a variety of illnesses, including strep, flu and pink eye.
She said the staff will be working disinfecting and cleaning the facility on Thursday.
