Enjoy the weekend weather while it lasts.
The National Weather Service in Dodge City is forecasting an unseasonably warm weekend to open February, with a high of 62 degree predicted Saturday and the mercury rising all the way to 70 by Super Bowl Sunday.
Record highs are possible farther southwest, with Ulysses and Tribune both predicted to reach a high of 75 degrees.
Monday will bring a drastic cool-down, however, with a high of only 36 predicted. The beginning of the work week also will bring the chance for more snow.
In the Hays area, there is a 20 percent to 40 percent chance of snow early Tuesday morning, with low temperatures dropping to the mid-teens.
Farther northwest, temperatures will be even cooler, with the high possibly dipping as low as 21 degrees, the NWS in Goodland said. Lows could reach to near zero by Tuesday.
