SHERMAN COUNTY — Three people were injured in an accident just after 4a.m. Thursday in Sherman County.
The Kansas Highway Patrol reported a 2017 Lexus IS300 driven by Bernedett Damron, 25, Colorado Springs, was westbound on Interstate 70 fifteen miles west of Goodland.
The vehicle left the roadway, entered median and struck a guardrail. The guardrail went through the vehicle, according to the KHP.
Damron was air-lifted to a hospital in Denver. Passengers Michael Roy Smith, 28 and Lilah Wilds, 2, both of Colorado Springs were transported to the hospital in Goodland.
Only the 2-year-old was properly restrained at the time of the accident, according to the KHP.
