RUSH COUNTY —Two people were injured in an accident just before 9:30a.m. Tuesday in Rush Center.
The Kansas Highway Patrol reported a 2007 Chevy Cobalt driven by Moraima Duran-Cortez, 49, Great Bend, was westbound on Kansas 96 two miles east of Rush Center.
The driver lost control of the vehicle in slush on the road as it traveled past an eastbound snowplow truck.
The Chevy crossed the centerline and struck the front drivers corner of a 2007 Kenworth semi driven by Patrick Lee Dodd, 62, Neosho, Mo., that was following the snowplow truck.
EMS transported passengers in the Chevy Karla Priscilla Garcia, 28, Great Bend, and Kary Paola Tuschhoff, 22, Andover, to the hospital in Great Bend.
Duran-Cortez and Dodd were not injured. All four were properly restrained at the time of the accident, according to the KHP.
