The National Weather Service in Dodge City is forecasting another round of snow for western Kansas beginning early Tuesday morning.

While a winter storm watch has been declared for area south of Hays and Ellis County, there remains a chance of snow beginning after 1 a.m. Tuesday. Accumulation is expected to be less than an inch in the Hays area, with heavier snow falling in southwest and south-central Kansas.

In northwest Kansas, the NWS in Goodland is predicting snowfall of up to 3 inches in most of its coverage area, beginning Monday evening. Forecasters are warning of the potential of snow-packed roads, as well.

There is a slight chance of snow or rain through the day Tuesday, with skies eventually turning partly cloudy by the evening.
