The Hays Area Chamber of Commerce will host its first Legislative Coffee on Saturday, Feb. 8, at 7:30 a.m. at the Ballroom in Memorial Union on the Fort Hays State University campus.
Sponsored by AT&T and Midwest Energy Inc., this visit with state legislators provides area residents the opportunity to learn more about the legislative process and happenings in Topeka. Those attending will include state Sen. Rick Billinger, R-Goodland, and state Reps. Barb Wasinger, R-Hays, and Troy Waymaster, R-Bunker Hill.
Representing on behalf of the office of U.S. Sen. Jerry Moran, R-Kan., are Chelsey Ladd and James Robben. Congressman Roger Marshall, R-Kan, will also be in attendance to answer questions and provide updates happening at the national level.
