Darren Peter Breit, 56, of Hays, Kansas passed away Monday, January 20, 2020 at HaysMed. He was born November 17, 1963 in Denver, Colorado to Darrell Peter JR. and Billie Jo (Sellens) Breit. He was a 1982 graduate of Hays High.
Darren had worked as a truck driver for several area oil companies. He enjoyed mechanic work especially working on his own truck, “Old Leonard” as well as riding ATV’s, Harley Davidson motorcycles, being outdoors in the sunshine and hated the cold. He was very loved by his family and will be dearly missed.
He is survived by his mother, Billie Breit of Pfeifer; a brother, Brett Breit and wife Babe of Hays; a sister, Aimee Konrade and husband Roger of Gorham and a nephew, Dayne Joseph Breit of Hays.
He was preceded in death by his father and his soul mate, Deborah Ann Marie Rupp.
Memorial Services will be 11:00 AM, Saturday, January 25, 2020 at Holy Cross Catholic Church in Pfeifer, Kansas. Inurnment will follow in the Holy Cross Cemetery in Pfeifer.
Memorial visitation will be Friday, January 24, 2020 from 5 to 8 PM with a combined parish vigil and rosary service at 6:30 PM at Brock's-Keithley Funeral Chapel and Crematory, 2509 Vine, Hays, Kansas.
Memorial contributions are suggested to The American Cancer Society in honor of Deborah.
