Two big home wins, including a victory over nationally-ranked Emporia State, helped propel the Fort Hays State women's basketball team back into the top 10 of the WBCA Division II Coaches Poll. The Tigers head back out on the road this week ranked No. 10 in the country, announced Tuesday.

The Tigers are 8-2 all-time as the 10th-ranked team in the country. Fort Hays State played one game when ranked 10th last season, defeating Missouri Valley by 61, 106-45 (12/1/18).

Fort Hays State is the only representative from the MIAA in either national poll this week. Three conference opponents are receiving votes in the coaches poll, including Emporia State, Central Missouri, and Central Oklahoma.

No MIAA teams are ranked or receiving votes in the D2SIDA media poll.

The Tigers search for their 10th win in a row Thursday when they travel to take on Missouri Western. First tip is set for 5:30 p.m. in St. Joseph, Mo.
