Last week’s inspection results from the Kansas Department of Agriculture:

Lucky Buffet - Jan. 16
2405 Vine - Hays

An inspection following a complaint found four violations.

  1. In the two-door refrigeration unit, there was a plate that had a raw chicken breast being stored on a wire rack directly above an opened container of cut assorted vegetables. No evidence of leaking was observed.
  2. On one of the buffet lines, there was cut cantaloupe at the temperature of 62 F. Cantaloupe was held in the refrigeration before cutting began. All other cold holding temperatures are in compliance.
  3. In the walk-in cooler, there were two pans of crab rangoon that had no date label.
  4. In the two-door True refrigeration unit, there was an opened container of assorted desserts, that contained milk, with no date of when the box was opened.
