Alberta Knoll, age 97, of Ellis, Kansas passed away Tuesday, January 14, 2020 at the Good Samaritan Society, Ellis. She was born May 14, 1923 in Hays, Kansas to Peter and Amelia (Dreiling) VonFeldt. She graduated from Girls Catholic High in Hays.
Alberta worked as a clerk for an abstract company. She had been a long time Senior Companion volunteer for many years at the Good Samaritan Society, Ellis. She was a member of St. Mary Catholic Church and the Daughters of Isabella both of Ellis as well as the Fraternal Order of Eagles. She enjoyed playing cards and bingo in her spare time.
She is survived by a son, C. John (Norleen) Knoll of Hays; two grandsons, Joe (Dani) Knoll of Ellis and Michael (Ashley) Knoll of Topeka and six great grandchildren, Jordon, Billie, Reagan, and Andrew Knoll, Isabella and Braiden Anderson.
She was preceded in death by sons, Joseph and Jerome Knoll and a brother, Isadore VonFeldt.
Funeral services will be 10 AM Saturday, January 18th at St. Mary Catholic Church in Ellis. Burial will be at 1:30 PM at St. Joseph Cemetery in Hays.
Visitation will be Friday 6 PM - 8 PM with a combined D of I rosary and parish vigil at 7 PM all at Keithley Funeral Chapel 400 E. 17th Ellis, KS 67637. Saturday visitation will be 9:30 AM until service time at the church.
Memorial contributions are suggested to St. Mary's School or Church.
