Betty Jane (Boeka) Walker

Betty Jane (Boeka) Walker passed away on January 11, 2020, in Quinter, Kansas, at the Gove County Medical Long Term Care Unit at the age of 90. Betty was born in Colby, Kansas November 20, 1929 to Adolph and Lucy (Wullenwaber) Boeka. Betty attended school in Colby, Kansas and after graduation attended Secretarial School in Omaha, Nebraska. She married Henry “Lee” Walker on December 31, 1950. They had two sons, Dennis and Dan.

Betty worked as a parts woman and secretary for Reliance Motor, Oberlin, Kansas and Walker Testing Company, Hoxie Kansas. She was a member of Royal Neighbors and an avid sports fan!

Betty is survived by sons, Dan Walker of Phillipsburg, Kansas and Dennis Walker and wife Jo of Clayton, Kansas; grandchildren, Danielle Walker of Wichita, Kansas and Thad Walker and wife Val of Derby, Kansas; and two great-granddaughters, Madison Walker and Meadow Walker both of Derby, Kansas.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Lee Walker; parents Adolph and Lucy Boeka; sister, Edith Kersenbrock; and brothers, George Boeka, Albert Boeka, and Art Boeka.
