Loren E. Heiser, 89, Rush Center, Kansas, died Saturday, January 11, 2020, at Clara Barton Hospital, Hoisington, Kansas.
Mr. Heiser was born November 9, 1930, in rural Rush Center, Kansas, the son of Alex and Neoma (Mohr) Heiser. He was a lifelong resident of Rush County, Kansas. A graduate of Enterprise Academy, Enterprise, Kansas, he was a farmer.
He was an active member of the Kansas Sheep Association, and the Kansas Association of Wheat Growers.
On February 23, 1958, he married Viola Voegele in rural Leola, South Dakota.
Survivors include: his wife, Viola Heiser, Rush Center, Kansas; two sons, Ron Heiser (Alecia, Drayton, North Dakota, and Rick Heiser, Stanwood, Washington; one daughter, Janet O’Rear, Roeland Park, Kansas; three granddaughters, Tasha, Trista, and Hannah; and one great granddaughter, Hadley.
He was preceded in death by his parents; and one brother, Wilbur Heiser.
Church visitation will be Thursday, January 16, 2020, from 9:00 A.M. to 9:50 A.M. at the Seventh Day Adventist Church, La Crosse, Kansas, with the family receiving friends from 9:00 A.M. to 9:50 A.M.
Funeral service will be Thursday, January 16, 2020, at 10:00 A.M. at the Seventh Day Adventist Church, La Crosse, Kansas, with Pastor Mitch Elrod officiating. Interment will be in Nekoma Union Township Cemetery, Nekoma, Kansas.
