Driver hospitalized after semi load of cattle overturns on Kan. highway

CHEYENNE COUNTY —One person was injured in an accident just after 12:30p.m. Wednesday in Cheyenne County.

The Kansas Highway Patrol reported a 2016 Kenworth semi driven by Schrum, Keith A. Schrum, 32, Fort Morgan, Co., and  pulling a loaded cattle trailer was southbound on Kansas 181 highway fourteen miles north U.S. 36.

The vehicle dropped the passenger side tires off the roadway and the driver lost control. The truck and trailer rolled onto the passenger side in the west ditch.

EMS transported to the Cheyenne County Hospital. He was properly restrained at the time of the accident, according to the KHP.
