While forecasters say it's too early to offer specifics, expect the unseasonably warm weather to vanish quickly at week's end.
According to the National Weather Service in Dodge City, there is a 30 percent to 60 percent chance of snow beginning after noon Friday and continuing into Friday night.
The temperature will also take a nosedive this weekend, as residents are expected to wake up to an overnight low possibly reaching the single digits. The high temperature Saturday is only expected to reach 30, although the skies are expected to be clear.
Farther northwest, the NWS in Goodland is warning of up to 4 inches of snow in its coverage area, which could lead to blowing or drifting snow and poor road conditions.
