The National Weather Service in Dodge City is warning of the increased risk of fires Wednesday.
Dry conditions will be coupled with south-southwest winds gusting into the mid-30s across the region. Humidity levels also are expected to be as low as 15 percent.
Outdoor burning is discouraged, the NWS advised
