Reggie Lynn Pywell

Reggie Lynn Pywell, age 64 of Wichita, passed away on January 1, 2020 in Wichita. He was born on December 15, 1955 to Rose (Sparks) Pywell and Charles (Corky) Pywell.

Reggie graduated from Plainville High School in 1975. He completed courses at the vo-tech school in Salina, KS and moved to Phillipsburg to work at Newells. He moved to Wichita where he was briefly employed at Cessna. He then took a position with Boeing, where he went into the field and taught how to install and implement electronics on B-1s and B-52s. This position required several moves. Tiring of the moves after 11 years, he moved to electrical maintenance at Boeing which later sold to Spirit Aerosystems. Reggie worked in electrical maintenance at Spirit until his retirement in 2010.

Reggie was a person of strong moral and political views. He was a family oriented person, always assisting family with projects and hosting family get-togethers. Other than spending time with family, his favorite pastime was watching and cheering for Kansas Jayhawk basketball.

He is survived by his brothers Rick Pywell of Plainville, Terry (Denise) Pywell and Kevin Pywell of Wichita, sisters Cherie (Lynn) Houser and Lisa (Brian) Moos of Plainville, Vicky (Bill) Haselwood of Cherryvale, Pam (Rob) Meyer of Waukesha, WI; 15 nieces and nephews and 13 great nieces and nephews.

Reggie was preceded in death by his parents, Rose and Charles Pywell; grandparents Daisy and Albert Sparks and Fern and Cecil Pywell.

Services will be held Saturday, January 11, 2020, at 2:00 p.m. at the Nazarene Church in Plainville. Visitation will be held at the church from 11 a.m. until time of service. Burial to follow at the Pleasantview Cemetery in Palco.
