Ruth M. Hays, age 93, of Oakley, died Sunday, January 5, 2020 in 
Lakewood, CO. She was born on February 11, 1926 in Gove County, Kansas 
to Jacob and Susie (Bigbee) Mather.

She was an LPN at the Logan County Hospital and a homemaker. Ruth married Lloyd G. Hays on August 11, 1946 in Grinnell.

She
 was preceded in death by her parents, Jake and Susie, her husband, 
Lloyd who passed away in 2005, her infant son, Daryl, seven brothers: 
Lee, Buford, Richard, Harold, Leslie, Wesley, and Gerald Mather; and 
sister, Carol Wilson. &nbsp;&nbsp;

She is survived by her sons, Ron (Debra)
 Mather of Ft. Morgan, CO, and Stuart (Carla) Mather of Austin, TX; her 
daughter, Janice (Steve) Soderlund of Parker, CO, seven grandchildren, 
four great grandchildren, and three sisters: Wilma Taylor, Evelyn 
Fitz-Roy and Marjorie Wilson, all of Newton.

Funeral service: 
10:30 a.m. Saturday, January 11, 2020 at the Oakley United Methodist 
Church with Pastor Dan Hutton, officiating. &nbsp;Burial will be in the 
Oakley Cemetery. &nbsp;Visitation: &nbsp;5 – 8 p.m. Friday, January 10 at the 
church.&nbsp; The family will receive friends from 5 – 7 p.m. &nbsp;Memorials to
