Virginita Linenberger, age 90, of Hays, Kansas died Saturday, January 4, 2020, a the Kenwoodview Health and Rehabilitation Center, Salina, Kansas.

She was born September 24, 1929, at Victoria, Kansas, to Bonavent and Gertrude (Beck) - Brungardt Linenberger.

She grew up and attended school in Victoria.  She worked at Travenol  Labs in Hays for 12 years.  She was a member of The Basilica of St. Fidelis and Secular Franciscan Order both of Victoria.  She lived in Victoria until moving to Hays in 1993, then moved to the Care Center in 2019.      

Survivors include, one brother, John Linenberger and wife Marlene, Manhattan, KS, one sister, Bonita Schulte and husband, Gary, Salina, KS; two sisters-in-law, Carol Linenberger and Norma Linenberger, both of Salina, KS; and many nephews and nieces.

She was preceded in death by her parents; seven brothers, Edwin, Gilbert, Dennis, Verlin, Thomas, Leo, and Patrick Linenberger; two sisters, Henrietta Giebler and Doris Younger-Pfeifer; and one infant brother, Clarence Linenberger.

Services are 10:00 A.M. Thursday, January 9, 2020, at The Basilica of St. Fidelis, Victoria, Kansas.  Burial in St. Fidelis Cemetery, Victoria, Kansas.

A vigil service will be at 6:30 P.M. Wednesday, at Cline’s-Keithley Mortuary of Hays.

Visitation will be from 6:00 to 9:00 P.M. Wednesday, at Clines-Keithley Mortuary of Hays and from 9:00 to 10:00 A.M. Thursday, at The Basilica of St. Fidelis, Victoria, Kansas.  

The family suggests memorials to The Basilica of St. Fidelis.
