Around 1 p.m. Sunday, Hays emergency responders, including Hays Police, Fire and Ellis County EMS were dispatched to the 1600 block of W 29th for a reported structure fire.

Upon arrival, HFD found an active fire at the top of chimney at a residence.

The fire was attacked from the roof with fire extinguishers and was reported out by around 1:30 p.m.
