GRAY COUNTY —One person was injured in an accident just before 8:30a.m. Friday in Gray County.
The Kansas Highway Patrol reported a 2013 Freightliner semi driven by Jeffrey Marc Debnam, 44, Meade, was southbound on 24 Road at County Road S.
The driver failed to yield at the yield sign. An eastbound 2008 Dodge Charger driven by Jarred Leland Smith, 33, Larned, applied the brakes and collided with a fence pole and then the semi.
EMS transported Smith to the hospital in Dodge City. Debnam was not injured. Both drivers were properly restrained at the time of the accident, according to the KHP.
