Elric 'Rick' Alfred Tremblay

Elric “Rick” Alfred Tremblay, 91, of Colby, died Wednesday, January 1, 2019.

He was born February 5, 1928, in Cloud County, KS, to Eli and Edmee (Bouley) Tremblay. Rick graduated from Concordia High School, then attended business school in Chillicothe, MO. On November 10, 1952, he married Patricia Morton at St. Joseph Catholic Church, Damar, KS. Rick worked for the Union Pacific Rail Road, then joined the United States Army from 1950-1952. After his service he went back to work for the railroad until his retirement. Rick was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Colby and a third-degree member of the Knights of Columbus. He enjoyed volunteering his time with RSVP, the Retired Senior Volunteer Program.

Rick was preceded in death by his parents; wife Patricia; daughter Deborah Kay Tremblay and brothers, Sylveo and Melvin Tremblay.

He is survived by his son, Kevin (Joyce) of Hoxie; daughters, Karen (Ed) Rimmer, of Salina, Shelly (Jim) Harms, of Colby, and Lisa Johnson, of Salina; grandchildren, Kyle (Shayla) Tremblay, Wade (Amanda) Tremblay, Bret (Nicole) Tremblay, Thomas (Amy) Rimmer, Elizabeth (Elliott) Meckley, Justin Harms, Amanda (Chris) White, Tammy Johnson, Christina (Kenneth) Frank and Bryan (Tiffani) Johnson and twenty one great grandchildren.

Visitation is 5-7:00 p.m. Friday, January 3, 2020, at Baalmann Mortuary, Colby, with a Vigil at 7:00 p.m. Funeral Mass is 2:00 p.m. Saturday, January 4, 2020, at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, with burial in the church cemetery.
