Former Phillipsburg resident Ruth Ann Miller passed away Friday, December 27, 2019 at Our Lady of Mercy Country Home in Liberty, MO at the age of 89.

She was born December 11, 1930 to Edwin J. and Freida (Hoffman) Merklein.

She was united in marriage to Virgil E. Miller on August 17, 1949 in Stuttgart, KS.&nbsp; He preceded her in death on January 19, 2016.

Survivors include her daughter, Lynette Evans Mucke of Liberty, MO, four grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren.

Cremation was planned.&nbsp; A memorial service will be held at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, January 4, 2020 in the Zion Lutheran Church, Phillipsburg, KS, with Pastors Lee Bennight and Lorna Paulus officiating.&nbsp; A private inurnment will take place at a later date in the Fort Leavenworth National Cemetery.

Friends may sign the book from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Friday, January 3rd&nbsp;at the Olliff-Boeve Memorial Chapel.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Zion Lutheran Church.
