Ray N. Schweitzberger, 58, of Oberlin, Kansas passed away Sunday, December 29, 2019 at his home. Ray was born on September 17, 1961. His parents were the late Bill and Norine (Fortin) Schweitzberger. He attended Oberlin Grade School and graduated from Decatur Community High School.
Ray worked as a DJ for a McCook, Nebraska radio station, Corcoran Funeral Home in Oberlin, Kansas, and a police officer for the Oberlin City Police Department. Ray was a quiet man who stayed to himself. He did enjoy traveling with his mother and talked about their many travel adventures. He liked to go to dances and dance to big band music.
Ray is survived by a sister, Lisa Volesky of Plano, Texas and close family friend, Tim Breth of Oberlin, Kansas.
He was preceded in death by his parents, the late Bill and Norine Schweitzberger.
According to Ray’s wishes, there will be no services. Pauls Funeral Home, Oberlin, Kansas is handling arrangements.
