KANSAS CITY, Mo. -- The Kansas City Chiefs will be without rookie free safety Juan Thornhill for the playoffs after learning he tore his left ACL yesterday against the Los Angeles Chargers.

Thornhill had been one of the Chiefs starting safeties this season, recording 42 tackles and 3 interceptions.

Daniel Sorenson will likely become the starter across from Tyrann Mathieu. Amari Watts and Jordan Lucas could also see an increase in playing time.
