Kathleen A. Strachan, 67, of Hays, passed away Saturday, Dec. 21, 2019 at Hays Medical Center. She was born Mays 26, 1952 in Hays to Gregory and Mildred (Hoff) Dechant. She graduated from Marian High School.
She had worked for the Good Samaritan Society, Hays and Fort Hays State University. She was an avid cat lover and a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church, Hays.
She is survived by her mother, Mildred Dechant of Hays; a son, Robert Strachan of Hays; a daughter, Lori Riedel of Plainville; two grandchildren, Deanna Riedel and Kayla Riedel as well as two great-grandchildren, Kaiser and Jacob Riedel.
She was preceded in death by her father.
Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Thursday, Dec. 26, 2019 at Brock’s-Keithley Funeral Chapel and Crematory 2509 Vine Hays, KS 67601. A Rosary service will be at 10:30 a.m.
Inurnment will be in St. Joseph Cemetery, Hays.
