Ethel Elberta Rouse, 74, passed away Dec. 22, 2019 at Hays Medical Center, Hays.

She was born May 12, 1945 in Stockton, the daughter of Ralph and Mabel Streeter Whited.  A longtime area resident, she was a waitress, housekeeper and enjoyed working at Alco.

She was a member of New Beginnings Church of the Nazarene, Larned.  She liked horses, iced tea, watching Days of Our Lives and enjoyed spending time with her many grandchildren.

On March 16, 1968, she married Walter Benjamin Rouse in Great Bend, who passed away Oct. 16, 1999.

Survivors include: three sons, Brad (Kristi) Rouse, Great Bend, Brent (Amy) Rouse, Garden City, Bo (Tisha) Rouse, Larned; two step-sons, Michael (Karen) Rouse, Miami, Okla., Marshall Rouse, Great Bend; seven daughters, Kay Drews, Lesia (Duane) Dipman, Tonya Shane Wysong, Shantel Corpening, Kisty (Brandon) Schultz, Tassy Rouse, all of Larned, Megan (Mark) Nelson, Great Bend; step-daughter, Tammy (Tony) Woods, Venita, Okla.; grandchildren, Brandon, Kayla, Heather, Nicole, Nicholas, Tiffany, Lance, Janae, Sheena, Shala, Sonya, Mark Jr., Tori, Zane, Crystal, Tyler, Kamber, Shawn, Dominica, Brionna, Brian, Devin, Zach, Jordan, Tristan, Ashley, Bentley, Natalie, Ethan, Derrick, Hannah, Benjamin, Cadence and Aiden; great-grandchildren, Hylee, Aubrey, Tate, Ty, Weston, Madison, McKenzie, Brayden, Noah, Izzy, Eli, Brynlee, Bryson, Mya, Wesley, Jaionna, Hunter, Leyum, Brylee, Ariya, Ryan and extended family, Sarah Lloyd, Kevin and Barbara Racette, and Scott Racette, all of Colorado.

She was preceded in death by her parents; two grandchildren, Kendall Nelson and Angel Schultz; son, Bret Rouse and a sister, Kate Stewart

Graveside service will be at 11 a.m., Friday, Dec. 27, 2019 at Larned Cemetery, Larned, with Pastor Daryl Riffel and Bo Rouse presiding. Memorials may be given to the Ethel Rouse Memorial Fund in care of Beckwith Mortuary, Box 477 Larned, KS 67550.
