The Kansas State Department of Education has issued the following awards to the Salina Diocesan Catholic Schools, through its Kansans Can Star Recognition Program; Postsecondary Effectiveness: Silver, Graduation Rate: Gold, and Academically Prepared for Postsecondary Success: Copper.
In addition to these awards, Hays Catholic Schools exceeded state average benchmark scores for students being ready for college in the areas of English, math, social science and biology.
Hays Catholic schools’ composite ACT average for 2018-19 is 23.9 against the Kansas State average of 21.2.
Hays Catholic schools, Thomas More Prep-Marian and Holy Family Elementary, fall within the Salina Diocesan Catholic School district and have a distinct 111 year history of academic excellence.
The schools would like to credit the combination of depth of curriculum combined with a rich educational staff for its history of academic success.
