THOMAS COUNTY — One person died in an accident just after 11:30a.m. Saturday in Thomas County.
The Kansas Highway Patrol reported a 2004 Ford Taurus driven by Joy I. Davis, 97, Colby, was northbound on Country Club Road south of U.S. 24.
The driver failed to stop at the stop sign at U.S. 24 and collided with an eastbound 2011 Ford Expedition driven by Cortney Lynn Dorn, 35, Goodland.
Davis was pronounced dead at the scene and transported to Baalmann Mortuary.
EMS transported Dorn and passengers Natalie Dorn, 16, and Elsie Dorn, 2, both of Goodland to the hospital in Colby. All four were properly restrained at the time of the accident, according to the KHP.
