Obituary
Longtime Goodland resident, Helen Marie Rohr, 86, passed away at her home in Goodland on Friday, December 13, 2019.
Helen was born on October 12, 1933, in Norton, Kansas to Leonard and Mary Jane (Whetstone) Johnson. She was one of 12 children. She attended school in Norton, Kansas through the 8th grade.
On May 10, 1968, she married Howard Kosse. They had 10 children. After his death in 1980, she married Walter Rohr on December 11, 1982, and to this union, 3 more children were added to the family.
Helen was a homemaker. She loved cooking and spending time with her family and grandchildren. She also loved woodworking, gardening and making wedding cakes.
Preceding her in death were her husband’s Howard and Walter, and one daughter Linda Foster. She was also preceded in death by 7 brothers and 4 sisters.
She is survived by three daughters Jody DeHart (Arlo Tropf) of Imperial, NE, Patricia Krien of Greeley, CO and Paula Kear of Rapid City, SD; four sons Dale (Rhonda) Skrdlant of Alliance, NE, Roger Skrdlant of Norton, KS, Allen (Nicole) Skrdlant of Florence, CO and Phillip (Sok-Yong) Skrdlant of Des Moines, IA. She is also survived by nineteen grandchildren and many great and great great grandchildren; and a sister-in-law Edna Johnson of Carlotta, CA.
Private family services for Helen will be held at a later date.
