Dorothy Inloes

Dorothy A. Inloes, age 85, of Quinter, Kansas, passed away Saturday, December 14, 2019, at Gove County Medical Center Long Term Care, Quinter. She was born November 6, 1934 to Clarence and Goldie (Keith) Lauver in Corning, Iowa. 

Dorothy married Harlan Huber on January 9, 1956, and together they had 3 daughters. They were married until his passing in 1965. She later married Delbert Inloes on November 9, 1973, in Quinter, KS. Dorothy and Delbert enjoyed 46 years together, raising their family, watching them grow, and spending time with their grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She was a devoted member of Quinter Church of the Brethren, GCMC Auxiliary, and The Red Hat Society. She enjoyed several different forms of crafting, including crocheting, knitting, sewing and scrapbooking. She looked forward to traveling with her husband, shopping, and collecting angels. Dorothy worked as a hairdresser for many years in McPherson, KS, a receptionist for Rose Hill Mortuary in California, and as a bank teller with First National Bank in Quinter for 27 years.

Dorothy is survived by her husband; stepson Ronald Inloes of Quinter; stepdaughter Marcheta (Steve) Smith of Quinter; grandchildren Shane (Karlene) Douglas of Beatrice, NE, Lucas (Alicia) Douglas of Galva, KS, April Douglas of Beloit, KS, Seth Bogart of Salina, KS, Kassie Wilson of Cavalier, ND, Tyler (Whitney) Flora of Richmond, TX, Ryan (Natasha) Flora of Quinter, Emily “Betsy” (Matthew) Ayers of McPherson, LaVonne Inloes (TJ LaRue) of Nortonville, KS, Daniel Inloes of Quinter, and Brandon Smith of Great Bend, KS; 14 great-grandchildren; brother Donald Lauver of Clinton, IA; and sisters Marlene Robertson of Springfield, MO and Charlene Lauver of Wellington, KS.

Dorothy is preceded in death by both parents; her first husband; and daughters Jeannie Fiene, Jeanette Douglas and Janelle Huber.

Visitation will be from 10:00 AM until 11:00 AM Saturday, December 21, 2019, at Quinter Church of the Brethren.

Services will be held at 11:00 AM, Saturday, December 21, 2019, at Quinter Church of the Brethren immediately following the visitation. Pastor Keith Funk will be officiating. Burial will follow at Baker Township Cemetery in Quinter.
