🥎 TMP-Marian falls twice at Dodge City

DODGE CITY - The TMP softball team dropped both of their games in Dodge City Thursday, 9-2 and 10-5.

The Monarchs are now 5-3 on the season.

Game 1: Dodge City 9, TMP-Marian 2
Dodge City scored a run in the first than four in the second to grab a 5-0 lead. The Monarchs scored two in the third and it would stay that way until the Red Demons tacked on four in the sixth.

The Monarchs were held to only four hits and scored both of their runs when Kyleigh Allen reached on an error with two outs in the third.

Allen allowed nine runs (four earned) on 10 hits with three strikeouts and four walks over six innings.

Game 2: Dodge City 10, TMP-Marian 5
The Monarchs led 3-2 entering the bottom of the sixth but the Red Demons scored six runs to take the lead.

TMP scored two in the fourth on Emilee Augustine’s single to center which scored Alexa Ryersee and Kyleigh Allen.

After the Red Demons tied the game with two in the bottom of the innings, the Monarchs got the lead back with three in the fifth. Karli Komarek scored when Ryersee reached on an error. Sophie Allen grounded to the shortstop which scored Jaci VonLintel. Ryersee later scored on a wild pitch to put the Monarchs up 5-2.

Kyleigh Allen had two of the Monarchs six hits in the circle and took the loss. Allen allowed 10 runs (six earned) on seven hits with four strikeouts and five walks.
