Kansas man hospitalized after Rush Co. rear-end crash

RUSH COUNTY — One person was injured in an accident just before 6:30 p.m. Wednesday in Rush County.

The Kansas Highway Patrol reported a 2005 Ford 500 driven by Nicholas E. Mitchell, 32, Otis, was eastbound on Kansas 4 two miles east of Bison. The vehicle crested a hill and rear-ended a 1983 Toyota pickup driven by Don E. Erb, 62, Bison, that had no visible tail-lights and was traveling at a slow speed. 

EMS transported Erb to Hays Medical Center. Mitchell and a 2-year-old in the Ford were not injured. Both drivers were not wearing seat belts, according to the KHP.
